Tackling Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities
18 June 2015
Museum of Natural History, Burgring 7, Vienna
The Austro-French Centre for Rapprochement in Europe will organise in Vienna on 18th June 2015 a bilateral conference on climate change in cooperation with the Museum of Natural History of Vienna, the French Institute in Austria, the Vienna Diplomatic Academy and the French Institute for International Relations in Paris. This event is conceived of as a contribution to the preparation of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 21-Paris Climat 2015), organised in December in Paris.
The conference will invite renown experts, mostly from France and Austria, to discuss the methods used to study this phenomenon and to present the latest findings in the area. It will consider how the fight against climate change, despite the various constraints it is subject to, can be carried out so as to support economic, social and technological progress. The conference will also examine the geopolitical dimension of climate change, its migration aspects and the specific needs of the developing countries. It will finally reflect on the instruments put in place in the tackling climate change at the international level.
The participation in the conference is free of charge. Please register by clicking here.
